Make these popular Brazilian churrascaria style grilled pineapples in no time at all. They're quick, easy, juicy and most importantly delicious. Great as a BBQ side, with ice cream or as an (almost) guilt free dessert.

  • 1 medium sized pineapple (peeled, cored and cut into slices/wedges)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  1. Mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon, sprinkle over pineapple slices/wedges (both sides). 

  2. Grill 2 minutes without turning.

  3. Once caramelised, turn over and grill another 2 minutes.

  4. Serve warm on its own, with ice cream or BBQ meats. 

Recipe Notes
  1. You may use canned pineapple if pineapples aren't in season or easily available. Drain out the syrup before using.
  2. You may use coconut sugar instead of brown sugar to make it healthier. You may also use honey. 
  3. I used a grill pan to make this in my kitchen, you can easily make this indoors or outdoors. 
  4. You may sprinkle with flaked almonds and coconut to make it even tastier.
